PHASE 01 Strategic Platform Planning

The blueprint before the build.

Discovery is where vision becomes a structured, compliance-conscious operational plan. Every workflow mapped, every compliance exposure identified, every architectural decision grounded before development begins.

What This Phase Produces

Clarity before commitment.

Every successful healthcare platform begins with a structured period of operational mapping, compliance analysis, and architectural planning. This phase is where the decisions that protect the entire engagement are made.

The output is a complete operational blueprint covering MVP scope, HIPAA exposure, PHI data flows, multi-location architecture, and a realistic, defensible build plan that leadership can evaluate and authorize.

Discovery closes with the Phase 02 Statement of Work, which converts the strategic plan into a contracted, budgeted engagement with full scope clarity on both sides.

The Deliverable Package

Four quadrants. Forty deliverables. One blueprint.

Discovery is structured around four operational quadrants. Every deliverable is mapped, owned, and produced before development begins.

Engagement Itinerary

Five operational milestones.

Here is how the discovery engagement is structured from kickoff through strategic readout. Final dates are confirmed at signing — the sequence and scope remain consistent across all engagements.

Phase 01 · Engagement Structure A fixed-fee engagement with defined milestones. Strategic Platform Planning is structured as a fixed-fee engagement billed across three gated milestones. The scope, payment schedule, and acceptance criteria for each milestone are documented in the Statement of Work and Master Services Agreement, which are reviewed and signed before the engagement begins.

How We Approach This Phase

Strategic planning work that protects the entire engagement.

The discovery engagement covers the engineering work that keeps a healthcare platform on track before development begins. Scope clarity, compliance positioning, and architectural alignment established here carry through every phase that follows.

In our experience, the planning investment at this stage typically prevents significantly more costly course corrections once build work is underway. For a platform of this complexity, covering eRx, telemedicine, multi-location operations, and HIPAA-conscious infrastructure, that holds especially true.

Discovery is also non-binding for further phases. The full deliverable package is owned by your organization at close. If the strategic readout surfaces a reason to adjust direction, simplify scope, or pause, that outcome is just as valuable as a confirmed path forward.

Begin Discovery

Discovery begins with what you can tell us today.

Before workflow mapping, compliance audit, or architecture work begins, we need your operational context — current systems, locations, provider footprint, and compliance posture. The intake questionnaire is the on-ramp to Phase 01, and it is how we arrive at our first conversation already prepared.
